The nights are getting colder and the spiders and rodents are starting to come in. The time for getting ready for winter is upon us. Get those frostless hose bibs disconnected. If you don't disconnect the hose, it will freeze and break the pipes, usually inside of a wall. Exterior dryer vent screen in place? All foundation vent screens in place? Do not block off foundation vents with insulation. If you block off air movement under your house you are inviting mold to move in. 

The beautiful fall colors with falling leaves are designed by nature to kill grass. Leaf fall is about tree propagation, not grass growing.  Mother nature is trying to prepare the ground for the tree seeds, not your grass seed. Stay on top of the raking as best you can. Your lawn will thank you for it in the spring.
