The Veterans lending program has made some much needed changes. In my opinion, the VA home loan program had developed a reputation to be a cumbersome product. So much so that during what I call the "Covid Migration" that saw multiple offers on homes: It felt like VA funded offers got pushed down the list. Seasoned sellers knew that VA funding could be more work for them. The home can't have any deficiencies which means someone has to pay to fix them if any exist. The VA offered little in the way of Rehab loans that weren't very difficult to navigate. Thankfully, VA has made some updates removing or providing a workable method of resolution for both buyers and sellers.  A new roof, electrical upgrades, deck repairs and more can now be rolled into a loan package that is very workable and directly competes with other traditional loans. Much needed changes are finally here!
