Your listing agent taking quality photos is part of a professional
marketing program. With technology available these days, agents are
tempted to dramatically enhance photos. Bright green lawns, flowers that
don't exist, rooms stretched to appear huge. At the end of the day, this
is a disservice to their clients. Buyers are disappointed and sometimes
upset. Their time has been wasted. Their gas has been wasted. And they
have a bad realtor story to tell.
Take a minute to look at
the corners of the photo. Do the door frames or windows appear slightly
distorted? Are the roses in the flower bed perfect? Is the carpet pristine
clean in a dated house?
Look for a Satellite pic or map
link before you go for a drive. You might save yourself some
disappointment. And for sure save yourself some gas money.
For
the record, the picture of myself on our website has been colossally
doctored and photo shopped. I'm actually much thinner in real life.
