Willy's Whimsical Wednesday Words of Wisdom
A
long time ago when I was a young man I was renting a house in downtown
Chehalis. I had a golden retriever dog by the name of Rusty. Rusty was a
great dog! We went everywhere. On Saturday when there were no bosses at
work I would take him with me and he would ride on the back of the
forklift all day long while I loaded boxcars. However, Rusty liked to
take speed runs through the neighborhood occasionally. This is not a
good thing in town. One day he didn't come back and I was looking
everywhere. Chehalis PD spotted me with my repetitive roaming and asked
what I was up to. "Looking for my dog Rusty," I replied. Cop had a great idea for
finding the lost dog. It worked like a champ. He said go home and get a
couple of my old coats. Throw them down on a couple of street corners
here and there and then go back and check them in a couple of hours. 4
hours later there was Rusty 10 blocks from my house happily laying on my
old coat waiting for me to show up. If you have ever lost your dog,
give this trick a try. It worked great for me!!
Have a Willy Great Day!!
