Willy's Whimsical Wednesday Words of Wisdom
Everyone surviving a remodel while you live in the home.
You may grow to hate the process, stress your housemates and lose your
motivation.
Try not to have a project going in every corner of the house. Doubtful
you will finish any of them. Work toward what I call "the inspiration
room". Pick a bedroom or bath (hopefully you have two) entryway, deck or
covered porch. Yes, I consider a deck an outdoor room. Start and
complete that single project. The sense of accomplishment will inspire
you to push forward. But stay focused. Don't start in on 3 rooms
thinking you are empowered. All bets are off with a kitchen remodel. I
have done several while living in the home. The least uncomfortable
thing is to set up a temporary kitchen. Take a day or two to make it a
workable kitchen. I have set up a laundry sink connected off of a washer
hookup. Or set up in a utility room using sawhorse counter tops to hold
the microwave and air fryer and the important dish drying rack. Most
refrigerators are on wheels these days. You might be able to roll it
back forth on a heavy extension cord within your work space. I would
love to hear some of your ideas!
Have a Willy Great Day!
