Willy's Whimsical Wednesday Words of Wisdom

Over the years I have owned rental homes. I have had some excellent tenants and some not so good tenants. My favorite phone call to get from a tenant is that they have bought a house and are moving! I am always very happy for them! Yes, I lost a good tenant. But they gained a home and that is outstanding! If you are a tenant you get a temporary roof over your head and a receipt. That's it! No choice, no equity, can't pick the color of flooring or paint, possibly can't hang a picture, can't get a pet or have to pay, can't park where you want,  and the list goes on. Many renters are not aware that they are not far off from qualifying to buy a home of their own. Yes, houses are expensive but so is rent. Please!! I encourage you to get with a lender of your choice and find out where you stand. Make a plan to get yourself in a position to buy a home. Even if it is two years out, figure it out! Get moving or get staying!!
